Structured Tests
TESTS
Six structured tests that map to a 5-axis capability profile: threshold power, VO2max, sprint, anaerobic capacity, and aerobic efficiency. Each test is BLE-driven (smart trainer in ERG mode, or power meter + cadence sensor) and results feed the FTP trend and capability radar.
20-min FTP Test
The gold-standard FTP test. 20 min best effort, × 0.95.
1-hour Time Trial
The honest FTP. 60 min of self-paced best effort, avg = FTP.
Ramp Test
1-min stepwise ramp to failure. Maps to VO2max + estimated FTP.
Sprint Test
5 × 10-s all-out sprints. Maps to peak power + fatigue resistance.
Anaerobic Capacity (Wingate)
30-s all-out sprint. Maps to peak anaerobic power + fatigue index.
Aerobic Efficiency Test
40 min at 88-92% FTP. Maps to Efficiency Factor + aerobic decoupling.
Which test should I do first?
For most riders, the order is: FTP (sets the threshold every other test depends on) → Ramp (maps to VO2max) → Sprint (peak power). Save 1-hour TT, Wingate, and Aerobic Efficiency for the off-season or specific training blocks.
