iRide, the budget cycling GPS maker popular with commuters and entry-level cyclists, has announced it is ceasing operations. The company cited declining sales and increased competition from Garmin, Wahoo, and Bryton.
What happens to existing devicesiRide has confirmed that existing devices will continue to function but no future firmware updates are planned. The iRide companion app will continue to work for the next 12 months but may be discontinued thereafter.Warranty claims filed before June 30, 2026 will be honored. After that date, warranty support is unavailable.
What's next for iRide customersiRide has published a transfer guide recommending customers move to Bryton Rider 420 ($199) or Wahoo Roam V2 ($499). Both support the same basic features (GPS tracking, ride history, BLE/ANT+ sensor support).
