What this tool is and isn't
The ECP helps you plan the cash flow of cycling equipment over time. It does not factor in resale value, insurance, or the secondary market — depreciation modelling is a v2 follow-up. Lifespan defaults are general guidance; your actual mileage, weather exposure, and crash history will move the replacement year. Use the ECP as a budgeting starting point, not a budget itself.
